Basic Information

  • Hours of Operation - Monday-Friday from 6:45 a.m. - 5:45 p.m.
  • History - MCC was opened in 1976 as a 3-day per week preschool. It was changed to full-time in 1986.
  • Philosophy - Methodist Children’s Center is to provide children with quality learning experiences, which enhance each child’s developmental capabilities. Our purpose is to insure that each child has a variety of "successful experiences" that promote a positive self-concept and a lifelong love of learning. Methodist Children’s Center provides a safe, loving, and nurturing environment in which a child’s unique qualities will be continually nurtured and stimulated.
  • Ages Served - 6 weeks through 12 years
  • Curriculum - We offer an excellent Christian curriculum. Starting with Toddler I, our teachers provide daily lessons that teach about God's love and how we should act as Christians. Our curriculum is based on Wonder-Filled Weekdays by Millie Goodson, Ph.D. We provide weekly Lesson Plans that are posted so that our parents can see everything that we are doing.
  • Special Curriculum Features - We offer bi-weekly computer classes taught by PC Kidz. Our children attend a special chapel time every Monday. We offer Music/PE on a daily basis.
  • Annual Events - Holiday parties, Fall Festival, Thanksgiving Dinner, Christmas Program, Pre-Kindergarten graduation
  • Fundraisers - Cookie dough sale in October, Rummage sale in November, St. Jude's Trike-a-thon in October, Pennies for Patients in February

Registration/Scholarships

  • Registration - A non-refundable $50.00 Registration fee is required in order to confirm a spot for your child in the fall. Your child is not registered until that fee is paid. A Summer Activity fee is charged based on the cost of field trips and other activities.
  • Scholarships - A limited number of scholarships are available and issued quarterly. Application must be made each quarter. Contact the Director.

Payments

  • Tuition fees will be collected on a weekly basis.
  • There is a $50.00 yearly registration fee, and a $25.00 supply fee that is collected in August and January.
  • Tuition fees will be due by closing each Tuesday. A $10.00 late fee will be assessed at 5:45 if your payment has not been received. Accounts that become delinquent for 1 week will result in termination of services the Friday of that week.
  • Monthly tuition that is paid in full by the 3rd of the month will receive a $10.00 family discount.
  • Tuition will be collected the week of Christmas. If Methodist Children’s Center is open.
  • Families will receive a $5.00 per week sibling discount.
  • There will be an overtime charge for children not picked up at regular closing time (5:45 p.m.). Late fee is $1.00 for each minute late payable the following day.
  • There will be a service charge of $15.00 for all returned checks.
