Music Ministry
Chancel Choir
This non-audition choir is open to anyone who loves to sing and who will be committed to attending practice on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. and performs during the 10:50 a.m. worship service on Sundays. Bob Schoonover is the director. The chancel choir presents a special music offering every Sunday. These range from contemporary hymns to more traditional and classical church music. The choir presents a special Christmas cantata the middle of December as well as an Easter cantata. Members of the Chancel Choir also present solos, duets, trios, and quartet pieces from time to time during the year. The Chancel Choir meets every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in the Choir Room.
Praise Team
Various church members who love to sing more contemporary Christian music lead the 8:30 a.m. worship service every Sunday. This group has been invited to sing at other churches and community events. The Praise Team practices on Wednesdays at 5:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary.
Adult Bell Choir
The Adult Bell Choir, led by Bob Schoonover, rehearses on Wednesday afternoons from 5:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m. Members range from players with more than five years experience to first timers. This choir prepares pieces to present at various times during the church year. The Bell Choir meets every Wednesday in the Activities Building.
Children’s Chime Choir
Formed in 2003, for children in second through sixth grade, the Children’s Chime Choir is led by Patty Curtis. They rehearse from 4:00 p.m.-4:45 p.m. on Wednesdays. Special numbers are presented during the year by this group. The chime choir meets in the Activities Building.
Children’s Choir
Meets Wednesdays at 5:00 p.m. in the Activities Building.
